How to delete your Flirtique account and the personal data tied to it — what gets removed, what we keep, and how long for. · Last updated: 23 June 2026
Who operates Flirtique
The Flirtique app is operated by Sunset Bytes Pty Ltd (ACN 699 875 128; ABN 92 699 875 128), an Australian company ("Sunset Bytes"). References to "we", "us", and "our" on this page mean Sunset Bytes.
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open Flirtique on your phone.
- Tap your profile, then the menu icon (top right).
- Tap Account Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the second prompt.
Your account is removed immediately. You'll be signed out and your data starts deleting from our systems within minutes.
Option 2 — Delete by email (if you don't have the app installed)
Email support@sunsetbytes.com.au from the address tied to your Flirtique account, with the subject:

You don't need to include anything else — we'll match the email to your account, confirm with you, and delete it within seven days of the request.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile (name, date of birth, bio, gender, photos, voice bio, location, occupation, height, interests, preferences)
- All conversations, matches, and message history
- Swipe history, super-likes, profile boosts
- Stored phone-number hashes for the hide-from-contacts feature
- Account credentials (email and password)
- Push notification tokens, device identifiers
- Crash diagnostics tied to your account ID
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data is kept after deletion, either for legal reasons or for the safety of other users:
- Subscription and tax records — kept for 7 years, as required under Australian tax law. Includes transaction timestamps and amounts (no personal identifiers).
- Reports made against you — kept for 12 months, so we can act on abuse patterns and prevent banned users from rejoining. The reports are pseudonymised; your name, photos, and profile are removed.
- Anonymised aggregate analytics — kept indefinitely. No personal identifiers, no way to link back to you.
A note on subscriptions
If you have an active Gold or Platinum subscription, deleting your account does not automatically refund you. Subscription billing is managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us — manage your subscription, cancel auto-renewal, or request a refund through your store account settings.
