Child Safety Standards

How we prevent, detect and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation, and how to report a concern. · Last updated: 1 August 2026

Our position

Flirtique has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This content and conduct is prohibited absolutely, without exception, and is not subject to any warning or second chance.

Flirtique is operated by Sunset Bytes Pty Ltd (ACN 699 875 128), an Australian company. These standards apply to every user, in every country where the app is available.

Flirtique is strictly for adults

You must be at least 18 years old to use Flirtique. This is not a recommendation — it is a condition of access, stated in our Terms & Conditions.

  • Every account must supply a date of birth during sign-up, and an account whose date of birth places the user under 18 cannot complete registration.
  • The app is rated for adults on the app stores it is distributed through, and is not offered to child accounts.
  • Any account we identify or reasonably believe to belong to a minor is removed, whether or not the account has broken any other rule.

What is prohibited

The following are banned outright and result in immediate, permanent removal:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, real, edited or generated.
  • Sexualising a minor in any way, including in text, images, profile content or messages.
  • Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to make sexual contact with a person under 18.
  • Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating access to minors for sexual purposes.
  • Impersonating a minor, or presenting an account as belonging to a minor.
  • Using Flirtique to contact, locate or communicate with a minor.

Our Community Guidelines set out the broader rules on acceptable conduct.

How we prevent and detect it

  • Age requirement at sign-up. A date of birth is mandatory and an under-18 date of birth blocks account creation.
  • Automated photo screening. Every photo uploaded to a profile is screened by automated moderation before it can be published. If a photo is flagged, or if the screening service cannot complete a check, the upload is rejected rather than published — we fail closed, so an unscreened photo never reaches other users.
  • Text screening. Profile content and messages pass through automated checks for prohibited language.
  • Optional photo verification. Users can verify that their profile photos show the person using the account, which makes impersonation harder.
  • Human review of reports. Every report from a user is queued for review by our team.

We do not currently operate automated hash-matching against known CSAM databases. We state this plainly rather than imply a capability we do not have. Detection today relies on the automated screening described above combined with user reporting and human review.

How to report a child safety concern

In the app: open the profile or conversation, tap the menu, and choose Report. Reasons include Underage user and Inappropriate photos. Reports can be made about any user, at any time, and the reported person is not told who reported them. You can also block a user immediately, which takes effect straight away and does not depend on our review.

By email: contact support@flirtique.app. Child safety reports are prioritised above all other correspondence.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In Australia, call 000.

How we respond

When we receive a report or otherwise identify potential CSAE, we:

  1. Prioritise the report ahead of all other moderation work.
  2. Remove the offending content and suspend the account while we review. A suspended account cannot sign in, appear in discovery, or contact anyone.
  3. Permanently ban the account where the report is substantiated, and remove its content.
  4. Preserve the relevant account data, content and metadata rather than deleting it, so it remains available to law enforcement. This preservation takes precedence over our normal deletion practices and over a user's deletion request.
  5. Report to the appropriate authority — see below.

Reporting to authorities

We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us and we report apparent CSAE and CSAM to the relevant authorities. As an Australian company, our primary reporting channels are:

  • The Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) accce.gov.au/report
  • The eSafety Commissioner for removal of illegal content — esafety.gov.au/report
  • Where a report concerns a user or content outside Australia, the corresponding national authority, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.

We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and will provide preserved material in response to valid legal process.

Designated point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety, including questions from regulators, platforms and law enforcement about our CSAM prevention practices, is:

Keeping these standards current

We review these standards as the app changes and as our obligations change. Where we add a new capability — such as automated hash-matching — we will say so here rather than claim it in advance.
